Somehow, despite all that we already know about Joss Whedon’s ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ important questions continue to pop up. Perhaps such is the nature of taking on such a monumental blockbuster with such an expansive cast, which writer-director Whedon has jokingly called a “nightmare,” while describing it as “the hardest juggling act I have ever, ever tried to pull off.” And with the film less than two months away, the latest — and perhaps final — trailer has arrived, giving us some new footage and new questions to fuss over. Such questions include: how will Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who appear to start out on the side of the villainous Ultron (James Spader), end up on the Avengers’ team? What is it that brings the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), in his Hulkbuster armor, to blows? And how much of Paul Bettany’s The Vision will we be seeing, whom we finally get a glimpse of at the trailer’s end?
Of course, we don’t want to know the answers to such questions until we actually see the film, but that certainly won’t stop us from puzzling over them. Featuring additionally the return of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner as original Avengers members Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, respectively, ‘Age of Ultron’ will also see appearances from a number of Marvel favorites like Hayley Atwell, Idris Elba, Anthony Mackie, and Don Cheadle. Andy Serkis will also be playing a character named Ulysses Klaw, so we’re pretty excited about that.
